Offsite Backup & Recovery

Our SST Cloud Backup application is a simple and affordable solution to securely backup your district’s critical data to the AWS cloud. With native applications supporting Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as tailored solutions for MS SQL Server, MS Exchange, VMware, and Hyper-V, virtually all on-premises data can be backed up securely to AWS. All data can be sent out of region to meet audit and recovery requirements. Our application can be integrated into your current on-premises backup solution and workflows to add an additional layer of redundancy to your processes. Data can be easily restored on-premises, or in the event of a disaster, restored into secure AWS virtual servers.

Virtual Server Hosting

Extend your on-premises server infrastructure or replace your existing VMware, Citrix, or Hyper-V infrastructure by running Virtual Servers on AWS. Available in a variety of configurations, including CPU, RAM, and Disk sizes, we can right-size your environment to your exact needs. When it comes time to expand, we can easily provision additional infrastructure for you with no downtime required. All current versions of Windows and Linux are supported, and we can have you up and running in minutes by importing your current VM images. Using a secure site-to-site VPN connection, these servers are joined to your AD domain and can be managed with your existing tools, including Group Policy, WSUS, Logon Scripts, Mapped Printers and Drives, etc. You maintain full control over the operating system and your installed applications, and our team maintains the underlying infrastructure, so you never have to worry about uptime, power, cooling, or scalability.

Storage

Our managed Storage service is a simple and cost-effective solution to store a virtually unlimited amount of data in the AWS cloud. Extend your on-premises storage infrastructure or support the storage needs for workloads running entirely in the cloud with options available for both block and object storage. With on-demand scaling, you never have to worry about predicting your future storage requirements or purchasing additional storage up front to meet your future needs. Several storage class options are available for different use cases: Hot for frequently accessed data, Warm for infrequently accessed data, and Cold for long-term storage and archiving.

Application Streaming

Application Streaming using the AWS cloud allows you to easily provide your users access to Windows applications on any device. Using any HTML5 compatible browser, users can access applications simply by navigating to a URL, with nothing to download or install. With AD integration, users use their existing AD credentials to login and access published applications. Application Streaming can be deployed for a variety of use cases: support a BYOD program without having to expose network resources, allow students access to applications from home to complete assignments, provide access to Windows applications on Mac and Chrome devices, and extend the life of older hardware in computer labs by streaming GPU and other intensive applications.

Virtual Desktop

Virtual Desktops running in the AWS cloud allow you to experience all the benefits of VDI without the cost and complexity of maintaining the necessary infrastructure. Virtual Desktops are available for Windows 7 & 10 and can be deployed for a variety of use cases: extend the life of older less capable hardware by accessing Virtual Desktops, replace desktops with easy-to-manage PCoIP Zero Clients, and provide secure remote access to applications for use by key power users or disaster recovery purposes. Using a secure site-to-site VPN connection, these desktops are joined to your AD domain and can be managed with your existing tools, including Group Policy, WSUS, Logon Scripts, Mapped Printers and Drives, etc., Users access their Virtual Desktop using their existing AD credentials and have access to all on-premises resources.

Database Hosting

Our managed Database Hosting service is a fully managed turn-key database solution supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL. All databases are deployed in a dual-node high-availability cluster with automatic fail-over capabilities providing 99.95% up-time. You never have to worry about DBA tasks such as database updates, maintenance, or tuning. All data is backed up using a combination of full nightly backups and transaction log backups at 5-minute intervals, allowing us to restore your database to any second within the last 5 minutes. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest to ensure that it remains secure at all times.
